MicroCosm® POD Software Documentation

MicroCosm® POD software documentation consists of five volumes. Each set of MicroCosm® POD Executables is shipped with PDF files of Volumes 1, 2, 3 and 4. Each set of MicroCosm® POD Limited Source Code is shipped with PDF files of Volume 5, Parts 1, 2 and 3. The complete documentation set consists of:

• Volume 1, "MicroCosm® POD Systems Description";
  containing all of the mathematical algorithms used.
• Volume 2, "MicroCosm® POD File Descriptions";
  defining all of the input and output files.
• Volume 3, "MicroCosm® POD Operations Description";
  containing operation instructions and support programs descriptions.
• Volume 4, "MicroCosm® POD Installation and Tutorial";
  containing product release notes, installation instructions and sample executions.
• Volume 5, "MicroCosm® POD Programmers Guide";
  for those who elect to purchase a limited source code license.

MicroCosm® POD Upgrade Maintenance Options

1. MicroCosm® POD Executables:

   For an annual fee*, paid by subscribers in advance, SGAC will provide one year of "Upgrade Maintenance to MicroCosm® POD Executables." During the term of the subscription, each new release of MicroCosm® POD Executables, updated documentation PDF files and release notes will be provided to licensees of MicroCosm® POD Executables who have subscribed. The upgrades which are provided under these terms will be for the same computer(s) as the original Software License Agreement(s) executed by the licensee and SGAC.

2. MicroCosm® POD Lite Executables:

   For an annual fee*, paid by subscribers in advance, SGAC will provide one year of "Upgrade Maintenance to MicroCosm® POD Lite Executables." During the term of the subscription, each new release of MicroCosm® POD Lite Executables, updated documentation PDF files and release notes will be provided to licensees of MicroCosm® POD Lite Executables who have subscribed. The upgrades which are provided under these terms will be for the same computer(s) as the original Software License Agreement(s) executed by the licensee and SGAC. MicroCosm® POD Lite Executables are a subset of the MicroCosm® POD Executables which include MicroCosm® Tables, Report, TDF, CNTL, EXEC & Common Subroutine Object Library. MicroCosm® POD Lite Executables DO NOT include MicroCosm® FixClock or GDF. Those who purchase a license to use MicroCosm® POD Lite Executables and who are current in "Upgrade Maintenance to MicroCosm® POD Lite Executables" may upgrade to MicroCosm® POD Executables by purchasing a license to use MicroCosm® GNSS Prep Executables.

3. MicroCosm® POD Limited Source Code:

   For an annual fee*, paid by subscribers in advance, SGAC will provide one year of "Upgrade Maintenance to MicroCosm® POD Limited Source Code." During the term of the subscription, each new release of MicroCosm® POD Limited Source Code (including object modules), updated documentation PDF files and release notes will be provided to licensees of MicroCosm® POD Limited Source Code who have subscribed. The upgrades which are provided under these terms will be for the same computer operating system(s) [Microsoft Windows, RHEL Linux or Apple OS X] and hardware architecture [IA32 or Intel64] as the original Software License Agreement(s) executed by the licensee and SGAC

* To qualify for upgrade maintenance, subscribers must first license all previous upgrades between their MicroCosm® POD version and the currently available version of MicroCosm® POD

MicroCosm® Software Security

Windows XP/Vista/7/8 IA32® and Intel64® PC's

When execution of the MicroCosm® Software is first attempted on Microsoft Windows® PC's either encrypted KSTRNGs or the hardware addresses of all installed ethernet controllers will be displayed. These KSTRNGs or addresses (consisting of six pairs of hexadecimal digits) must be provided to Space Geodesy Analysis Centre, Pty, Ltd. for generation of the MicroCosm® license. An ASCII file containing the encrypted MicroCosm® license will then be conveyed via E-mail or Fax.

Apple Mac OS X® and Linux® Computers

For computers using either Apple Mac OS X® or the Linux operating system (such as SGI Altix computers), MicroCosm® Software will generate one or more encypted KSTRNG sequences which must be provided by the user to SGAC for generation of a license file. This KSTRNG sequences may be obtained by attempting execution of any of the major MicroCosm® programs as shown in the example below:

MicroCosm® Software Licenses

SGAC requires all licensee's of MicroCosm® products to sign software license agreements prior to shipment of these products. Copies of these licenses are provided by SGAC with all letters of quotation. Duplicate originals of each license must be signed by an authorized representative of the purchasing organization and must accompany the purchase order. One fully executed original of each license will be returned to the purchaser at the time of product shipment. Three forms of software licenses are used by SGAC for MicroCosm® POD products.

1. Licensees of MicroCosm® POD Executables must complete two copies of "SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT MicroCosm® POD Executables."

2. Licensees of MicroCosm® POD Lite Executables must complete two copies of "SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT MicroCosm® POD Lite Executables."

3. Licensees of MicroCosm® POD Limited Source Code must complete two copies of "SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT MicroCosm® POD Source Code."

You may also contact Space Geodesy Analysis Centre, Pty, Ltd. to have these licenses sent to you via mail or facsimile.

Payment Terms

Payment must be in U.S. Dollars and must be within 30 days after product shipment.

Advance payment may be required for certain international deliveries.

When payment accompanies the purchase order, the price will be discounted two percent (2%) and there will be no charge for shipping.

Additional copies of MicroCosm® documentation volumes are always subject to shipping charges regardless of payment method.
