Van Martin Systems, Inc. under contract to Hughes Global Services, Inc. was a key member of the HGS-1 (formerly AsiaSat 3) recovery team. Our orbit determination expertise and the SGAC family of MicroCosm® Software products performed the following mission critical functions:

• Pre-mission error analysis studies for HGS-1 Lunar flyby,

• Precisely predicted the time of passage of HGS-1 through the Lunar shadow,

• Generated tracking station visibilities,

• Precisely predicted Lunar occultation event times for HGS-1, and

• Combined range, range rate, azimuth, elevation, right ascension and declination measurements to obtain the best possible precision orbit determination solutions for HGS-1.
